Teacher preparation programs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas aim to provide candidates opportunities to work with broadly diverse student populations, including students with disabilities and children from various racial/ethnic, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Assistant Professor Jori Beck notes the surrounding community is well suited to this goal, as it serves schools and students across a wide spectrum, including numerous Title 1 schools.
