• Relationships, Track Record Build Demand for Residents

  • AACTE’s Amanda Lester interviews SUNY Oswego’s Pat Russo and Nichole Brown about their growing clinical partnerships and residency programs. Russo, director of the Center for Urban Schools, describes how the current partnerships build on but go far beyond the decades-long relationship their institution has had with the Syracuse City Schools. Now, she says, principals from all over the area are inquiring about how they can get Oswego residents in their schools. Field Placement Director Brown is excited about new efforts as well, such as a grow-your-own partnership to develop more teachers from the local community.
