SUNY Oswego teacher residents say their top challenges are time management and managing logistics such as transportation (and even housing) for their senior year in Syracuse—a 40-mile distance from campus. Program faculty cite early hurdles in starting the program, such as heavy advising loads with students and reluctant host teachers—but say these have disappeared as the program matured and participants had clearer, more positive expectations.
