Challenging the Status Quo: Reshaping the Culture and Practice of Preservice Mentoring
Student teaching is a key component of teacher preparation but student teachers may not have access to effective mentors. In this future casting session, we share highlights from a study of how preservice mentors think about their work with student teachers and how they view various mentoring practices. The study challenges conventional forms of mentoring as a step toward disrupting inequitable clinical experiences.
