Engaging Student Voice to Address Financial Barriers in Teacher EducationStudents' perspectives can offer crucial insights into how and why financial strain matters in teacher preparation, and can guide more intentional financial designs to increase both retention and learning within teacher education programs. Our session will engage participants in shared analysis and problem-solving based on qualitative research about the experiences of pre-service teacher candidates with financial barriers and their recommendations for addressing them.
