• Mentorship Practices to Prepare and Retain Culturally Diverse and Linguistically Competent Teachers

  • This presentation addresses how a partnership with four institutions of higher education and seven school divisions has systematically implemented culturally responsive mentorship practices to prepare, recruit, and retain culturally diverse and linguistically competent teacher candidates and new teachers. It addresses concerns for the profession of education through systematic changes to mentor curriculum and professional development workshops to ensure equitable and effective instruction.
