Moral and Motivation Contours of Special Educators

The need to recruit and retain special education teachers is an ongoing challenge for institutions of higher education and their pk-20 school partners. This session will present research exploring moral identities and motivation profiles of special education professionals at varying points in their careers. The presentation will open a discussion regarding how this type of information can be used to develop intentional recruitment and retention strategies for special education professionals.
